public class ErrorFrame

extends JFrame

implements ActionListener, ToolTipInterface

Class responsible for creating and updating the error page frame used to tell the user errors that should be fixed before the data defined is all valid. It consists of a list widget that displays the error list and a push button to close the window. An application would typically only ever display one instances of the error frame as it would contain all the the validation errors for the data defined in the application.

ErrorFrame

public ErrorFrame(Vector errors,
                  String title)

Main creator for the ErrorFrame class. Used to initialize class variables to the specified values and draw the window.

Parameters:

errors - The list of errors to be displayed.

title - Text to use as the frame's title.

Method Detail

displayToolTips

public void displayToolTips(boolean display)

Turns tool tips on or off for this frame.

Parameters:

display - Indicates if tool tips should be displayed, true indicates to display them, false indicates to not display them.

reset

public void reset()

Resets the dialog, returning it to its initial state. This is done in order to be able to reuse the same dialog each time errors are to be displayed rather than paying the expense of recreating it's resources each time.

refreshErrorList

public void refreshErrorList(Vector errors)

Updates the list of error to be displayed, causing the list to be redisplayed.

Parameters:

errors - The new list of errors to be displayed.

actionPerformed

public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent actionEvent)

Processes actions made in the ErrorFrame dialog (ie pressing push buttons).
